Patrick Marr is a Principal with Cobalt Property Group, LLC, co heading its Charleston, SC office. Along with his partners, he is responsible for development and investment activities. Furthermore, Mr. Marr is Broker in Charge of Cobalt Commercial Properties which is responsible for commercial leasing of Cobalt’s portfolio.
Prior to founding Cobalt, Patrick Marr was founder and Principal of CMB Property Company since its founding in 2005. Mr. Marr was responsible for its overall direction with offices in both Washington, DC and Charleston, SC. During his tenure, Mr. Marr has purchased more than $150 Million Dollars of stabilized office and multifamily properties in both Washington, DC and Charleston, on behalf of his offshore capital partners.
During his time at CMB Property Company, Mr. Marr continued his 30-year career in the commercial real estate with both CB Richard Ellis and Newmark Knight Frank, reaching the title of Vice Chairman at both firms. Mr. Marr was consistently a top producer in the Washington, DC offices and transacted more than 3,000 lease transactions and $25 Billion Dollars of total lease consideration. He was consistently ranked in the top 10 of all Washington, DC agents from the Washington Board of Realtors and was recognized as Broker of the Year in 2013.
Additionally, Mr. Marr is the founding partner of Preservation Property Company and Preservation Development, both based in Charleston, SC, that has completed the development and lease up of more than 26 residential properties totaling 105 bedrooms, in a portfolio for long term management and appreciation strategy.
Mr. Marr graduated from the University of Richmond with a B.S. in Finance and received a Master of Business Administration from Marymount University.
Mr. Marr has resided on Sullivan’s Island, South Carolina since 2005, where he lives with his wife, Maureen, and his three daughters.
